  • Compact footprint – existing plant have limited space for company new business expansion.

  • New business expansion will increase number of worker as well as different type of material handling equipment. Customer looking for more efficiency warehouse flow requirements to meet less worker, less MHE, less space, at the same time able to increase throughput.

New warehouse expansion plant with space allowed 91,700mmW x 14,100mD x 22,800H. System integrator managed to designed ASRS solution achieving 5844 pallet location. System height 22,120mm, double deep with close face design. Number of level with 13, 15, 16 & 18 beam level.

Client Background

Bodibasixs Manufacturing Sdn Bhd is a renowned personal care & skin care contract manufacturer in Malaysia founded in 1995. Their expertise includes Private Label formulation and also serving as a one stop center in product formulation development, sourcing and logistics support.

Business Challenges

  • In need of space optimization of their existing warehouse to increase an additional of 70% storage capacity from their existing 960 pallet locations storage capacity for the storage purposes of their raw materials and finished goods.

  • Non-segregated storage area of raw material and finished goods causing operational efficiency issues during peak business season.

Converting their current Selective Racking System to Double Deep Racking System which has doubled Bodibasix’s storage capacity at the same time meet with the investment budget of the company. The proposed system has eased the entire operational flow of their warehouse achieving greater efficiency.

Drive In Racking System - Malaysia

Client Background

F&N Dairies Manufacturing Sdn. Bhd. was founded in 2007. The Company’s line of business includes manufacturing of dry, condensed, and evaporated dairy products. F&N has 8 manufacturing facilities in Malaysia and Thailand serving the needs of consumers in the regions. The state-of-the-art plants utilise the latest manufacturing technologies to meet the highest standards of food safety and efficiencies in the production of its various products, with strict quality control measures undertaken at each step of the manufacturing processes.

Business Challenges

  • New setup chilled plant which served the function as production and distribution center for 1 of their new milk product line.

  • Within the chill plant area, there are limited storage spaces to keep the raw material, packaging material and finish goods.

  • The finish goods has to keep in cold room environment in order to maintain the quality while the raw material and packaging material can be stored in ambient environment.

  • Low number of stock keeping unit (SKU) but come with bulk quantity.

  • Multiple pallet sizes and pallet load.

Several meetings & discussion had been conducted with the project manager during the plant construction stage. Eventually Drive In Racking had been selected mainly due to The Return of Investment (ROI) meets the management expectation and the storage method able to deal with all the challenges highlighted by client during the meeting.

Client Background

RM Food Inc. (RMFI), located in the heart of industrial area of Pulilan Bulacan, Philippines, is the biggest toll packer company in The Philippines. RMFI operates a 2 hectare factory that serves a repacking business for one of the largest consumer brands, Nestle Philippines.

Business Challenges

  • Client is looking for improved storage system to meet the warehouse flow requirements with short shelf life, energy saving, less maintenance and less space and under safe working work place.

  • Frame configuration and beams position are the most important parts for racking structure in order to suit to roller module and sloppy bays.

  • Beam deflection is a key specification to ensure the dynamic system rolls as it is.
